On October 1, 2026, President Trump nominated Brian Meyers to the United States District Court for Eastern District of North Carolina.


Biography 

Meyers graduated from Davidson in 1999. He received his J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law in 2004.

Legal Experience

After law school, Meyers served as an officer and judge advocate in the United States Marine Corps. He was on active duty from 2004 to 2008. He then worked as an assistant United States attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina from 2008 to 2015, prosecuting narcotics and national security-related cases.

From 2015 to 2017, Meyers worked as a national security and cybercrime coordinator in the Executive Office for United States Attorneys before returning to the U.S. Attorney’s Office as an executive assistant United States attorney. He currently serves as a magistrate judge for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
