Ways to Give
Join the movement. Protect our courts.
AFJ has led the fight for a fair and independent judicial system. Our work is changing the conversation around the critical importance of a diverse and representative judiciary to achieving justice for all. Join the movement to shape a tomorrow where rights are safeguarded, and justice prevails.

Want to have a lasting impact? Become a monthly sustainer!
Monthly sustainers allow AFJ to focus more on the work and save AFJ money otherwise spent on fundraising. Knowing that we can count on your support each month makes a big difference!
Donate what you can each month and power the movement for fair courts.
An Honor Gift
Give a meaningful gift by donating in honor of, or in memory of, someone special today. There are few better ways to show your admiration or appreciation than by making a gift in your loved one’s name to AFJ. Please include their name and email address. We will share the news of your thoughtful gift with them or their family!
Participate in Your Employee Gift-Matching Program
Some employers offer gift-matching programs for qualified charities, meaning they’ll match the amount of your donation up to a certain amount. This can effectively double your contribution and make twice the impact!
You can search Charity Navigator’s database to see if your employer offers gift or matching or check with your HR department.
If your organization or company uses a matching gift platform, submit your request by entering AFJ’s EIN (52-1009973).
Please notify us if you initiate an employer matching gift to ensure we properly acknowledge your and your company’s generosity.”
Send your employer’s completed and signed matching gift form to:

Create a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)
A Donor-Advised Fund, or DAF, is an investment account where all the assets you invest are donated to charity. Anything you contribute to the fund — including cash, stocks, and cryptocurrency — is managed and invested by a sponsoring organization. Your contributions will grow tax-free, and over time you can recommend grants from your fund to qualifying charities.
When you contribute to a DAF, you can qualify for an income tax deduction for the amount you contribute in that tax year. You can choose which organizations you’d like to support and when those donations should be made.
Donations to a DAF are irrevocable. This means that once you contribute assets, you can’t withdraw them and use them for a different purpose. They must be donated in support of a qualifying charity.
Consult with your investment advisor to find out how to establish a donor-advised fund.
Make Qualified Charitable Distributions from Your Retirement Account
People 70.5 and older can donate funds from their IRA accounts directly to qualifying nonprofits. This type of gift is called a Qualified Charitable Distribution, or QCD.
To make a QCD, you’ll have to fill out an IRA Charitable Distribution Form and submit it to your IRA custodian (the institution that manages your account). You’ll need your account information and AFJ’s tax identification or EIN number (52-1009973) for the form.
How will you be remembered? One of the simplest ways to ensure your legacy is by naming Alliance for Justice as the beneficiary in your estate plan.
There are many advantages to estate planning:
- Your gift costs you nothing now.
- You are not locked in. You can change your mind if your circumstances change.
- You can take care of your loved ones and Alliance for Justice.
- There is no minimum gift required. Every gift makes a difference.
- You can make a gift in honor of or tribute to someone who inspires you.
- You may remain anonymous, should you choose to do so.
- You have the chance to be remembered as someone who made a lasting difference in the fight to advance equal rights and justice.
We would be honored to be included in your estate plans and are available to discuss the best options for you and your family. Please contact us at email@example.com or call Amy Ciciora at (202) 822-6070.
