Biography

Born in Anchorage, Alaska in 1981, Peterson earned his B.B.A. in finance from the University of Alaska in 2007, and his J.D. from the Gonzaga University School of Law in 2010.

Legal Experience

Peterson began his legal career as a clerk for Judge Michael R. Spaan, with the Alaska Superior Court (2010-2011). He then worked as an Assistant Municipal Prosecutor with the Anchorage Municipal Prosecutor’s Office (2011-2012), an Assistant District Attorney with the Anchorage District Attorney’s Office (2012-2015), and as an Assistant Attorney General with the Office of Special Prosecutions, Alaska Department of Law, Criminal Division (2015-2019). Since 2019, Petersen has worked as a Senior Assistant Attorney General with the Alaska Department of Law, Civil Division, Natural Resources Section.
