Black Feminist Future Expands National Movement to Build Power, Leadership, and Liberation
Issues
Black Feminist Future (BFF), a national leader in advancing social, political, and cultural transformation, is continuing to grow its impact as a dynamic hub for building the power and leadership of Black women, girls, and gender-expansive people across the United States.
Founded to address gaps in racial, gender, and reproductive justice movements, Black Feminist Future has spent the past decade cultivating a vibrant, member-centered network dedicated to collective liberation. The organization brings together organizers, advocates, and community leaders to advance bold strategies that challenge systemic inequities and create lasting change.
At its core, BFF is focused on galvanizing social and political power through leadership development, movement-building, and cultural transformation. By centering community care, joy, and interdependence, the organization equips members with the tools, training, and resources needed to drive meaningful progress in their communities and beyond.
Through innovative programming and national initiatives, BFF is shaping the future of advocacy and organizing. Its flagship Black Feminist Organizing Schools provide rigorous training for activists and leaders, helping them deepen their understanding of Black feminist theory and apply it to real-world change. These programs foster a new generation of movement leaders equipped to address complex social challenges with intersectional solutions.
In addition, BFF leads impactful campaigns such as the Black Feminist Agenda, which seeks to improve the material conditions of Black communities, and “Abortion is Freedom,” a powerful initiative defending reproductive autonomy and bodily autonomy. The organization also convenes national gatherings and collaborates with partners across sectors to strengthen collective action and align strategies for long-term impact.
As a movement incubator, BFF emphasizes collaboration and connectivity, mapping and linking leaders and organizations across the globe to build a unified, transnational network of Black feminist changemakers. This approach ensures that ideas, resources, and strategies are shared widely, amplifying impact and accelerating progress.
Looking ahead, Black Feminist Future remains committed to expanding its reach, deepening its programs, and continuing to serve as a catalyst for transformative change. By uplifting voices, strengthening movements, and advancing bold solutions, the organization is helping to shape a more just, equitable, and liberated future for all.
