Shannon Salzman

AFJ Law Program Manager


Shannon Salzman joined Alliance for Justice in February 2026 as the AFJ Law Program Manager. In this role, they are responsible for managing the operational and program needs of AFJ Law. They are excited to work on building the strength of legal capacity across the movement.

Shannon comes to AFJ with a strong history of supporting nonprofit networks that advance social justice and fight for democracy. As a Paralegal for Tides Network, they supported the in-house legal and compliance teams in managing ongoing operations and building compliance infrastructure.  Shannon also previously served as the Senior Operations Associate for the Center for Popular Democracy. While there they worked cross-departmentally to organize logistics for activists across the network and build out legal compliance infrastructure with a focus on capturing institutional knowledge.

Shannon is based in Richmond, Virginia and received B.A.s in History and International Relations from Salem College. They spend their free time with their wife and cats, playing video games, or visiting the local library.
