Trump Judges On The Issues

During his four years in office, President Trump saw 234 of his judges and justices confirmed to the federal courts, rapidly transforming them with extremists largely selected by the conservative Federalist Society. Occupying more than a quarter of the entire federal bench, these judges are significantly undermining the rule of law, ruling in favor of the interests of the wealthy and powerful at the expense of the rights and safety of workers, consumers, LGBTQ+ individuals, people of color, women, and immigrants.

Alliance for Justice dutifully researched these judges upon their nominations, noting their already extreme records and the threats they posed if confirmed. Some had dedicated their careers to opposing reproductive freedom. Others had played significant roles in trying to undo the health care protections guaranteed by the Affordable Care Act. Some had worked hand in hand with anti-LGBTQ+ hate groups, while others had worked with fossil fuel companies to oppose clean air and clean water protections. Their biases were well established and their jurisprudence predictable.
