Farhana Khera

Farhana Khera is a distinguished civil rights lawyer and leader with nearly 30 years of legal, policy, political and management experience. The child of immigrants who sought freedom and better opportunity, Ms. Khera has dedicated her career to promoting our nation’s founding ideals of freedom, justice and equality for all.

Formerly the founding president and executive director of Muslim Advocates, Ms. Khera is a results-oriented executive with a proven track record of high-impact outcomes, building and managing effective teams and coalitions, creating impactful strategic plans, and strong public speaking and media experience. As a civil rights lawyer, she has represented clients in discrimination matters and advised public officials and corporate executives on a range of issues involving civil rights, equity, inclusion and the impact of laws, policies, and practices on these values. She has received numerous honors, including the Wellesley College Alumnae Achievement Award, the college’s highest honor. Ms. Khera received her B.A. from Wellesley College and her J.D. from Cornell Law School.
