Nominee to the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona
On August 28, 2024, President Biden announced his intent to nominate Sharad H. Desai to the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. If confirmed, Desai would be the first Asian American Article III judge to serve in the District of Arizona.
Biography
Desai earned his B.A., cum laude, from University of Pittsburg at Johnstown in 2003 and his J.D. from Widener University Commonwealth Law School in 2006.
Legal Experience
After law school, Desai clerked for one year for Justice Rebecca White Berch on the Arizona Supreme Court. Following his clerkship, he served as an Attorney with the Phoenix law firm Osborn Maledon, P.A before working in senior legal counsel roles. Currently, Desai serves as the Vice President and General Counsel for Honeywell International’s Integrated Supply Chain and Information Technology divisions.
