Biography

Anne-Leigh Gaylord Moe earned her B.A. from Furman University in 2001 and her J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in 2005.

Legal Experience

Moe began her legal career clerking for Judge Virginia M. Hernandez Covington on the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida (2005–2007). She also interned for Florida Supreme Court Justice Kenneth B. Bell and Judge Jeffrey Hotham of the Maricopa Superior Court.

After her clerkship, Moe joined Bush Ross, P.A., where she became an equity shareholder. In 2017, she was appointed as a trial judge for Florida’s Thirteenth Judicial Circuit by then-Governor Rick Scott. In 2024, Governor Ron DeSantis elevated her to the Second District Court of Appeal.

Moe also represented the Florida State Department of Business and Professional Regulation in litigation brought by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The suit challenged the state’s alleged violation of an agreement granting the tribe exclusive rights to operate certain “banked” casino games.
