Custom Workshops – Frequently Asked Questions

How much do Bolder Advocacy custom workshops cost?

Alliance for Justice uses a sliding scale fee model for customized Bolder Advocacy webinars and in-person workshops for nonprofits.

Our workshop fees help us cover the true costs of operating the Bolder Advocacy program, while also ensuring our ability to deliver our training services for small grassroots organizations at low-to-no cost.

Since the launch of our sliding scale model in January 2023, we have been able to provide more than 330 workshops for nonprofits for free or at a reduced cost rate.

Are you a private or public foundation?

We work with many foundations to provide training for their staff and board members. We also regularly collaborate with funders seeking to provide free customized workshops for their grantee partners in addition to, other wraparound supports such as our technical assistance hotline and online legal resources. Please get in touch with us at [email protected]  for more information on how your foundation can partner with Bolder Advocacy to strengthen its advocacy engagement and grantmaking and empower its grantees to boost civic engagement and promote policy change.

Are your workshops and webinars offered in languages other than English?

Yes, we offer many of our workshop topics in Spanish. We are also open to working with language interpreters for other languages. Please provide more information about your language needs when submitting your workshop request form. We require at least three weeks’ notice before the workshop about language interpretation needs.

Do you provide accommodation for people with disabilities?

Yes, please let us know about your accommodation needs when submitting your workshop request form, and we will do our best to make your training experience accessible for those in attendance. Please note that we need at least three weeks’ notice to be able to fulfill your accommodation needs. Please also feel free to share your recommendations for vendors you have worked with in the past who can help us fulfill your needs – we are always on the lookout for good folks to add to our list of contacts.

Do you provide captions for online trainings?

Yes, we use Zoom’s automated live transcription feature for our online trainings. We can also provide a captioner for trainings, if needed, with at least two weeks’ notice. To request a captioner, please include a note when submitting your workshop request form.

What if I have questions after attending a workshop or webinar?

Please contact Bolder Advocacy’s free technical assistance hotline for answers to your nonprofit advocacy-related questions. We’ll make every effort to respond within two business days.
