Stop the Kavanaugh Cover-Up

WASHINGTON, D.C., October 4, 2018  – Following the delivery of the FBI’s partial background check on Brett Kavanaugh, AFJ President Nan Aron released the following statement:

“The Republican attempt to bury Brett Kavanaugh’s record is reaching new heights today with the rush to a vote on his nomination after a very limited and cursory FBI report was delivered.  It’s time to stop this cover-up. We support the call by Sen. Schumer this morning for the FBI report to be made public, along with the White House’s directive to the FBI when it started its latest investigation. The American people have a right to know what kind of limits and restrictions the Trump Administration put on the FBI that resulted in turning this process into such a sham. It’s clear that the White House and Republicans will stop at nothing to keep this nominee’s true character and record from coming to light, and that is deeply disturbing.”
