“Serious reservations” about Trump list of judicial nominees

Washington, D.C., May 8 – In response to reports that President Trump will announce a slate of ultraconservative nominees for federal circuit and district courts, Alliance for Justice President Nan Aron issued the following statement:

“We have serious reservations about this entire slate of ultraconservative judicial nominees as reported. Packing the federal courts with judges whose records suggest they want to weaken critical constitutional rights and legal protections would undermine the Constitution’s promise of equal justice for all, and cause serious harm to millions of Americans. We will be scrutinizing all of the nominees’ records carefully, and urge senators to do the same.”
