Zack Ford, spokesperson for the liberal advocacy group Alliance for Justice, said it’s possible the court is signaling plans to reconsider the scope of sex discrimination law that it defined in 2020.
“We definitely can’t rule it out based on Friday’s ruling,” he said.
“The Supreme Court’s decision to block the Biden administration’s Title IX guidance is the latest example of its extreme overreach” and showed that the court “did … not seem to care about its own precedents,” Ford said in a statement.
