Washington, DC, June 26 – Following today’s 5 to 4 Supreme Court ruling in NIFLA v. Becerra, in which the Court ruled that fake women’s health centers can continue to mislead women about their services and intentions, AFJ President Nan Aron released the following statement:

“No woman seeking accurate information about her reproductive health care options should be shamed, lied to, or denied access to basic medical care. But today’s ruling in NIFLA v. Becerra clears the way for fake health centers to continue to do just that, deceiving pregnant women seeking help while furthering their own harmful agenda. We know that the anti-choice movement relies on deception to survive, because when women get accurate information about reproductive health care, anti-choice propaganda fails. This ruling is a call to action to fight back with facts and support women’s right to make informed choices about their care.”
