The eight issue areas covered by the guides are:
- Criminal Legal Reform
- Democracy and Voting Rights
- Environmental Justice
- Gender and Reproductive Justice
- Health and Disability Rights
- Labor and Economic Justice
- LGBTQ+ and HIV Communities
- Racial Justice and Immigrant Rights
“Bolder Advocacy is as committed as ever to making sure nonprofit advocates have the tools they need to confidently and effectively engage in advocacy in support of their communities,” said Natalie Roetzel Ossenfort, program director of Bolder Advocacy. “These guides provide specific examples to address some of the nuanced questions we receive across different issue areas so that we can help groups advocate at peak efficiency.”
“The next four years could prove very challenging for the many communities that progressive nonprofits serve. Yet our movement’s commitment to creating change for the better at all levels of government or simply resisting harmful new policies implemented by the Trump administration is stronger than ever,” said Keith Thirion, interim co-president of Alliance for Justice. “We want to make sure groups can build power through advocacy with full confidence they are respecting the legal boundaries on their efforts. These guides are the perfect place to start.”
All eight guides are available now for free download on Alliance for Justice’s website.
