Law360: Lawyers Call On High Court To Stop ‘Capitulating’ To Trump

“We are out here today because this Supreme Court has abandoned its duty to safeguard our liberty,” Alliance for Justice President Rachel Rossi told the crowd. “Clearly unlawful actions by this administration are being rubber-stamped for approval by our nation’s highest court. This is simply not justice under the law. And we’re here to say, ‘enough is enough.'”
Since Trump retook the White House in January, the Supreme Court has received a total of 32 emergency relief applications involving various administration policies — all but one of which were filed by the administration itself — according to a Law360 analysis of court data. Of the 26 applications that have been resolved by the court, the justices have granted the administration relief in 22 of them, or about 81% of the time. Meanwhile, the administration has a 37% success rate in lower courts, according to a Law360 database.
