Gorsuch’s Partisanship on Full Display

Washington, D.C., September 23, 2017 – In response to reports of Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch’s public appearances with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in recent days in Kentucky, AFJ President Nan Aron released the following statement:

“Neil Gorsuch is doing his best to erase any doubt that he is anything other than a wholly partisan actor.  Touring Kentucky as part of what media reports are accurately calling a Mitch McConnell ‘victory lap,’ after McConnell destroyed Senate norms to make sure Gorsuch got his Supreme Court seat, is offensive and inappropriate.  And next week Gorsuch plans to headline an event at Donald Trump’s Washington hotel. Gorsuch is either completely tone-deaf or he’s decided to embrace the part of a politician-in-robes with both arms.”
