Eid Confirmation Is for “Trump and the One-Percenters”

WASHINGTON, D.C., November 2 – Following the Senate vote to confirm Allison Eid to a seat on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, Alliance for Justice President Nan Aron released the following statement:

“The confirmation of Allison Eid is great news for big corporations, private-school boosters and conservative special interests, and very bad news for the rest of us. Eid’s history on the Colorado Supreme Court is as an extreme conservative outlier who is often the lone dissenter in decisions. She consistently favors big business over consumers, and on several occasions tried to take a hatchet to the public school system in her state. This is another confirmation to satisfy Donald Trump and the one-percenters, that will also wreak long-term harm on millions of everyday Americans.”
