AFJ Condemns Confirmation of “Unqualified” Justin Walker

WASHINGTON, D.C., October 24, 2019 – Following the Senate’s vote to confirm Justin Walker as a federal district judge in Western Kentucky, Alliance for Justice President Nan Aron released the following statement:

“Given his ‘unqualified’ rating by the American Bar Association, it’s clear the administration is simply rewarding Justin Walker for his loyalty. Walker fiercely defended Brett Kavanaugh from sexual assault allegations and he’s adamant that the Affordable Care Act is unconstitutional, but he’s spent barely any time inside of an actual courtroom. Our judiciary deserves those who meet the highest standards, not nominees like Walker who fail the job interview.”
