WASHINGTON, D.C., February 11, 2021 – Today the House of Representatives introduced and began consideration of the Forced Arbitration Injustice Repeal Act (the FAIR Act).

Alliance for Justice President Nan Aron issued the following statement:

“Forced arbitration is one of the most insidious obstacles blocking everyday Americans from finding justice when they’re wronged by the wealthy and powerful. Corporations can break the law and violate your rights and never face consequences thanks to a system they’ve rigged in their favor. From workers to nursing home residents to anyone with a credit card or smartphone, we are all vulnerable to this kind of abuse. Alliance for Justice has long opposed forced arbitration, and we hope this Congress can finally put an end to these fine-print clauses that compromise our rights.”
