Trump Has Rigged the Courts with Extremist Ideologues

Washington, D.C., November 6, 2019 – Following a press conference at which President Donald Trump boasted how many judicial nominees he has had confirmed, Alliance for Justice President Nan Aron released the following statement:

“It is stunning that after being repudiated in yesterday’s elections, the President believes he can win back support by reminding the American people of the litany of right-wing ideologues that he has awarded with lifetime positions as federal judges — many of whom are grossly unqualified. Trump is praising McConnell for nothing short of running a do-nothing Senate that has refused to consider countless bills the House has passed. Instead, Trump and McConnell have together been brazenly rigging our courts to attack access to health care, reproductive freedom, LGBTQ equality, worker and consumer rights, and protections for the environment.”
