After law school, Aubart clerked for Judge Terrence Boyle of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. He currently serves as the First Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina and is a member of the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps.
