WASHINGTON, D.C., September 12, 2024 – For decades, Alliance for Justice’s Bolder Advocacy program has provided technical assistance and custom trainings for nonprofits and foundations to demystify the rules related to nonprofit advocacy. Now, for the first time ever, Bolder Advocacy is making several of its trainings available on-demand for all audiences.

“We know there is a huge demand for these resources,” said Natalie Roetzel Ossenfort, program director of Bolder Advocacy. “Organizations are eager to get out the vote, build grassroots power, and create change in fulfillment of their missions. We want to ensure they can easily find the answers to their questions 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”

The on-demand series will cover topics from Bolder Advocacy’s core nonprofit advocacy curriculum, including:

  • Public Charities Can Lobby: How Your 501(c)(3) Can Influence Policy for the Greater Good
  • Nonpartisan Advocacy in Partisan Times: How Public Charities Can Educate and Advocate During Election Season
  • Working Together: Building Nonpartisan Partnerships with 501(c)(3)s, 501(c)(4)s, and Political Organizations

The on-demand series expands upon the many services Bolder Advocacy will continue to provide, including in-person advocacy workshops, interactive public webinars, free technical assistance via email or hotline, written legal resources, and the Rules of the Game podcast.

“These on-demand webinars are a natural evolution of Bolder Advocacy’s work,” said Keith Thirion, interim co-president of Alliance for Justice. “We know nonprofits are working hard, and organizing an in-person staff training isn’t always feasible in the short-term. This series will ensure they can access the expertise of our trainers on their own time and put it right to work making change in their communities.”

The webinars run about 45 minutes to an hour each and are available in English and Spanish.
