Shayna Orensztein

Shayna Orensztein is the Senior Program Coordinator for the Bolder Advocacy Program. She coordinates workshops and trainings, and provides administrative and programmatic support to Bolder Advocacy.

Shayna earned her B.A. and M.A. in Global Health from the University of California, San Diego. During this time, she worked for the university’s Center for Global Mental Health where she conducted research on the mental health of socioeconomically disadvantaged adolescents in Oceanside, California. She later worked as the center’s communications coordinator.

Prior to joining the Bolder Advocacy team, Shayna served as an AmeriCorps VISTA to help fight poverty in disinvested communities in the United States. She provided capacity building support for a national nonprofit community economic development association. Additionally, she conducted critical research on the community development field to help nonprofit organizations advocate for support and funding on a national level.

In her free time, Shayna enjoys boxing, making art, and taking care of her many plants.
