What happens after Election Day? We anticipate some local, state, and federal races will be decided by a razor-thin margin of votes. If history is any indication, nonprofits will play a critical role to ensure every vote is counted in the days following the election. After this workshop, you will learn what your organization can legally do in the post-election period, plus best practices on tracking and reporting post-election activity and managing contested elections.

 

Participants will learn:

  • What kinds of advocacy are available to nonprofits following election day,
  • How 501(c)(3)s can engage in ballot curing or ballot chasing while remaining nonpartisan,
  • Best practices on tracking and reporting post-election activity,
  • and how to train your staff and volunteers to respond to these situations.
