Margaret R. Guzman

Guzman is the first Hispanic judge to serve on the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Before her time on the bench, Judge Guzman was a career criminal defense lawyer. After working as a public defender for Public Counsel Services for over a decade, she opened a private practice firm focusing on criminal defense and plaintiff-side litigation.

Judge Guzman earned her B.A. from Clark University and J.D. from Boston University School of Law.
