Today we heard Brett Kavanaugh offer typical assurances that if confirmed to the Supreme Court, he’ll be a neutral arbiter deciding cases. But bland and rehearsed statements from this nominee, touching on all the Republican talking points, cannot erase what we know from his record.
We’re not surprised by the ABA rating for Kavanaugh, but we’re not placing much stock in it. Let’s remember that the ABA also gave good ratings to other Trump nominees who were forced to withdraw because of their extremist views.
