Marisa is a Dorot Fellow at the Alliance for Justice, where she works on nominations to the federal courts. She comes to AFJ after graduating from Boston University School of Law. At BU, she was a founding member of First-Generation Professionals, a group dedicated to supporting the needs of first-generation college and law school students on campus. She was also a staff member on the American Journal of Law and Medicine, where she published an article about mental health expert availability in death penalty cases. In her 3L year, she worked as a student attorney in the Criminal Defense Clinic, representing indigent clients facing criminal charges in Boston Municipal Court.

A proud native of Buffalo, NY, Marisa earned her B.A. in Political Science at Tulane University. While in undergrad, she spent her summers working on state and local campaigns at her hometown Democratic Party headquarters. She now resides in Kingman Park with her cat, Larry David. They are both enthusiastic Buffalo Bills fans.
