Daysha Scott serves as the 2018-2019 Baron Fellow with Alliance for Justice. In this role, Daysha is tasked with working on issues related to judicial nominations, the Supreme Court and access to justice, as well as outreach, coalition-building, and grassroots organizing. Daysha is a proud 2015 alumna of the illustrious Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, where she received her B.A. in Psychology, Pre-law. Most recently, she received her J.D. from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School in 2018. During her time at John Marshall, Daysha served on both the local and regional executive boards of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) and was a student member of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys and the Gate City Bar Association. Daysha also undertook multiple “hands-on” opportunities, including, but not limited to, completing two judicial clerkships and serving as an advocate for children in the juvenile justice system. With a deep passion and reputation for advocacy, Daysha is eager to continue cultivating her love for serving her community with Alliance for Justice.
