Chris was raised in East Lansing, Michigan and Montreal, Quebec. Chris recently graduated with honors from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in political science. During her time at UofM, she was chosen as part of the Michigan in Washington Winter 2018 cohort and partook in two internships.  Half of her time was spent as a Research Assistant for Dr. Xolela Mangcu, a South African professor who was writing a biography on Nelson Mandela’s early life.  The other half of her time was spent with the Women in Public Service Project.  Since graduating, Chris moved to D.C. and worked as a Communications Intern for Alliance for Justice.  Now she is the Bolder Advocacy Program Associate for the organization.  In this role she provides a wide range of administrative, technical , and program support activities that advance the program area’s activities.
